hi

i honestly don't have that much to write about. this past month has been a month of planning more than doing. i have paid for trips to Nepal, North Korea and China and am therefore sufficiently broke. I have ordered tickets (that my school will pay for WOOHOO) to Athens via Bangkok. I've looked into flights around SEAsia...$55 bucks to Hanoi from Bangkok...thank you! $30 return to Phuket...yes, i'll take that. I've hummed and hawed about whether to go to Germany or Great Britain. My heritage lies in both places. I have places to stay in Germany, not in Great Britain, but with those places come complications that are difficult to explain. It is because of those that I think I shall go to Great Britain. A flight from London to Inverness is approximately $40. I'll head up to Wick mid-October...see the place my great-grandfather was born. Hopefully meet some other Inrigs (they actually exist) then head down through Scotland, into England. Hit up Chester cuz I LOVE it, then London to Halifax for a road trip up to Newfoundland (I've been pracitcing my newfie-speak - I'm serious). The thing is tho that it'll be pretty wet in GB at that time...however. I'm not made of sugar, nor am I in any way a newbie to hanging out in the rain. Don't call it the Wet Coast for nothin, eh?

Beyond that...I don't have much to say. Went to Cirque du Soleil the other weekend, that was amazing. My friend Niqie is coming over here for a week from Japan before she heads back home to Canada.

The weather's finally warming up, the cherry blossoms are starting to fall and it's becomming green again. Finally, a pretty Korea. Strawberry season is coming to a close, sad because they are so cheap and SO good here. It's already begun to get humid...as it likes to do right before the rainy season (stupid monsoons). I figure it'll probably rain a storm when we're in North Korea, but that's ok. Again, really used to that.

That be all for this moment. I go to North Korea May 13 so after that I'll have pictures and stuff...possibly actual stories.

take care!
